Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
Q: What is a deal breaker for you in a book? For example, do you abhor love triangles? Or can’t deal with bad editing?
I remember giving up on only one book in the last few years. It was because the writing style was so "cheesy" I just couldn't take it. Serious moments had me laughing. Basically, an author's tone is my deal breaker. I also hate when a a book takes place in a different type of world and the characters do or say something that doesn't make sense in that setting or situation.

haha I like your answer. I agree, I don't do well with excessive cheesy-ness either! So yeah, the author's tone is a big deal for me as well. Thanks for sharing! New follower via GFC, I really like your blog :)

Great answer. Totally agree with you about characters acting different or talking different despite the world being completely different etc. It can be really frustrating!

Agreed! You can't have somebody acting in a way that would not fit with their surroundings. That defeats the whole point of the world building.

Yes, good points. I would call that, maybe simple writing? Or immature voice? I agree, whatever you call it! :)
