Today's Question:
What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?
It's happened to me a few times that I just didn't love the books that everyone else in the world seemed to love. The ones I can name of the top of my head are Shiver, Under the Never Sky, and Fifty Shades of Grey. Don't get me wrong I thought all of these were okay, I didn't not like them, I just didn't understand the hype surrounding them. I was disappointed because I really, really wanted to love both Shiver and Under the Never Sky.
I don't think I'll continue on with the rest of the Wolves of Mercy Falls series because I really just wasn't that into it, but I will continue with the Under the Never Sky series. By the ending I was getting a little more intrigued. Oh, I won't be continuing with Fifty Shades either. I only read that out of pure curiosity. I mean, even women that I know to NEVER pick up a book read and loved Fifty Shades!
Some books I really loved that haven't been too popular were Cold Kiss and Glass Heart by Amy Garvey. I really enjoyed these but I haven't noticed too many people reading them. I'd definitely recommend them though and I also have reviews up for them.

I couldn't stand Fifty shades either! I heard it was an awesome series and couldn't get over the bad writing. Great answer :)

Hopping through. I love the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, but a lot of people don't. I think people either love or hate Maggie's writing.

I was on the fence about 50 Shades... There were a lot of things that bothered me about the writing.

I totally agree, I didn't like Shiver either (I really wanted to) and I just could not read 50 shades

I have THE WOLVES OF MERCY FALLS on my to-read, but it's not really a priority. I actually loved FIFTY SHADES even though it's so bad!!! Something was super addicting about those books. :P

I'm with you when it comes to Shiver. I don't get it. The other books I haven't read, though everyone seems to have mixed reviews on 50 shades.
ReplyDeleteAll three books which I still would like to read!

ReplyDeleteI've actually heard a lot of people say that about Shiver... funny thing too... they all waited... I think a lot of people were scared to go against the hype. XD

I wasn't too fussed about Shiver, and I haven't read Fifty Shades- and I probably won't.

Try Under the Never Sky series again, and read Through the Ever Night. I think it was a strong follow up :)
